Ann Fisher-Wirth is Professor of English and Director of the Minor in Environmental Studies.  She is a widely published, award-winning poet; her books of poems are Blue Window (2003), Five Terraces (2005), Carta Marina (2009), and
Dream Cabinet (2012), and her chapbooks are The Trinket Poems (2003), Walking Wu-Wei’s Scroll (2005), and Slide Shows (2009).  She is coediting the groundbreaking, 550-page Ecopoetry: A Contemporary American Anthology, which Trinity University Press will publish in the spring of 2013.  She has been a member of the 1,000-member international Association for the Study of Literature and Environment, known as ASLE, since its inception, and in 2006 she served as ASLE President.
Ann’s particular ENVS fields of interest are 20th century American environmental literature, ecopoetry, and environmental life writing.  She teaches ENVS 101, the humanities gateway course for the Minor in Environmental Studies, and ENG 448, Nature Writing, which counts toward the minor.
