Andy Harper is the Director of the Southern Documentary Project and an Instructional Assistant Professor of Southern Studies and Journalism. Fields of interest include conservation history, national parks, water rights, and food insecurity. Andy teaches documentary and video production classes for the university and ENVS 399, “The Southern Environment: A History of Place and Space” for the Environmental Studies minor. His latest environmental publication “Conceiving Nature, THE CREATION OF MONTANA’S GLACIER NATIONAL PARK” (Montana, The Magazine of Western History, Summer 2010) was awarded the 2010 Vivian A. Paladin Award for best article.
